4TH OF JULY!!

We were so sad that we were not able to make it to Utah for the 4TH for a family reunion with Trevor's family, and a visit with my brother Leigh and his cute kids, and my good friend Lisa and her cute family, but we decided to not let that get us down! We had a fun day starting with a parade at The Woodlands Town Center, following, they have every pool in The Woodlands open for FREE with activities and fun things for the kids to do so we headed to one that we had been wanting to try out that has fun slides, and water park in the kiddie pool that has buckets of water that fill up and dump out on you and climbing things, they also had a lazy river!! The lazy river was a big hit, Trevor & Mason had a tube and Brody & I had a tube while Garrett and Porter had on their life vest, we had a good time going around and around!! :) After the pool we headed home for Lunch and some little fire crackers and a nice long NAP!! :) Getting ready to head out for the parade, all dressed in our flag shirts and swim trunks for the pool!! :)The parade, it was blasted hot but we made it for about an hour, this man on the ball was the most impressive to me because that would have taken a lot with the 100 degree weather!!After naps the boys decorated star rice krispy treats while we waited for the festivities to start at the Town Center!!Mason gets a little EXCITED about getting his picture taken!!The highlight of the festivities was the GIGANTIC watermelon!! Garrett was the only one to make it through the obstacle course, they chose that as the thing they wanted to do most, Porter got stuck and Mason got in and just started to cry!!Garrett thought the dinosaur was pretty cool, but he was too scared to go up to him by himself, he needed his Mom to help him out!!Brody and I waiting for the fire work show to start!!I thought Brody looked like such a big boy sitting in the boys chair!!The boys practicing plugging their ears for when the fireworks start, we were sitting right across the water where they were setting them off so we could see them shooting out and it was pretty darn loud!! I LOVED IT THOUGH!!! I love fireworks!!This is Garrett during the show, his hair is blowing in the wind and he loved every second of it!! It was pretty funny, he was so cute about it!! He kept saying, " O-MAN, LOOK AT THAT, WOW, COOL". Porter was pretty quiet, Mason kept saying over and over that he wanted to go home and then finally Trevor just held him close to him and he was quiet and watched the show, Brody liked it for about a minute and then it was too loud but he was fine cuddled up to me with me holding his ears. The show was a REALLY GOOD one!! Like I said, I loved it!! :)Everyone slept in the next morning and then Trevor made us STAR pancakes and STAR french toast!! What a heck of a Dad and a pretty darn good husband, I guess you could say I am a little spoiled!! All in all it was a pretty good 4TH of July!! We love this LAND!!
