Memorial Day Parade....early...

The boys and I ventured out to the Surprise Memorial Day Parade. We were so sad that we couldn't go with our cousins. The poor little monsters have been sick all week with the flu and we didn't want to get the cousins sick so we went on our own and tried to stay to ourselves. :( Aunt Lou got the boys flags and they were so excited about it!! Thanks Emily you guys are the BEST!! We are so grateful for the Men and Women who have fought and still fight for our country and the freedoms we enjoy, I am honored that my Dad and a couple of my brothers and brother in-law have served and some still are serving! I grew up as an Army brat and am so grateful to have had the experience to grow up around such great patriotism! Picture below is us on our way to the parade...Every One is having Fun NOW!! .....notice Brody screaming! :)Getting cozy and waiting for the parade to start...Cute brothers!!Love that grin!!Love Brody's tongue sticking out in the background!! Notice there are not any pictures of just Mason it is not because I didn't try, I kept asking him to look at me and he kept telling me, "NO"!Some of our favorites from the parade... not sure if these are ponies or miniature horses? Brody gets excited for all the animals!! He was sitting on my lap and his new thing is to grab my chin and make sure I am looking at what he wants me to see!! Love it!! :)These ladies crack me up, notice the grandma down on the street doing splits, I have NEVER been able to do that, and pretty darn sure I wont be doing it at that age!! :)The boys loved the army trucks!!This is an Air force fire truck?Another group of old ladies dancing around....too cute!! I hope I have that much energy and look that good when I am that age!!

Garrett wanted to make sure I put on here that this was his FAVORITE car below!!

My First Hair Cuts...

Trevor usually does a great job cutting the boys hair but he has been out of town for the last two weeks and the boys needed a hair cut before he left but he just didn't have enough time to squeeze it in. So I have had enough looking at my little rag-a-muffins and decided to take matters in to my own hands and luckily they turned out A-Okay. Anyway this post is really for Daddy-O Trev to take a look and feel okay knowing I didn't destroy their hair!! Not too Shabby huh, Trev?! :)

Summer Reading Porgram...

Monday Trevor and I got the boys registered for the Summer Reading Program at the Library for our family home evening. Trevor flew out Monday night for N.C. and I have already been back to the library twice since then. In the program you get a prize after every sixth book you read up to twenty-four and then you get the grand prize, your very own book. The boys have been really excited about it and have been pushing me to read with them so this morning we finished our sixth book and headed to the library for the prize. As we are getting seated in the car Porter says, "I am So EXCITED I feel like I am going to explode, my brain is going to explode I am SO EXCITED!" It was too cute!! Sadly we get to the library and I couldn't believe they aren't handing out prizes until next week. All of us were so disappointed but probably not as much as me. Why? I had read that sign when we signed up on Monday with Trev and going back today couldn't believe that it hasn't been a week YET with Trev gone and he doesn't have any plans on coming home soon! It has been the LONGEST week of my LIFE!!! :(

Garrett Graduated KG...

My big boy graduated KG today!! CRAZY!!!! The little stinker lucked out moving to AZ they get out of school so early, had we stayed in TX he would still have another month. He was so excited for us to come and see him perform in the graduation. It was the perfect length of about 20 minutes they sang three songs and he was so fun to watch. Brody and the other boys loved finding him and watching, too! This is my big 'MAN' right before we left, doesn't he look old?!This is right before we went in with his cousin Bay-Lou, they are in the same class. Cute cousins!!This is them waiting to perform while the crazy parents went wild screaming for their kid and waving and taking pictures. Telling you, OUT OF CONTROL. It is really funny to me how people react to things!! People brought balloons and flowers. All my poor kid got was a pat on the back, I must be a terrible parent, the thought never even crossed my mind to get him a gift for graduating. :0Here is Garrett and his new teacher Mrs. Connelly in the Bug Class at Sunset Hills Elementary!

Father & Sons...

Trevor took the boys to the Father and Sons with Uncle Matt and the cousins. Garrett took the day off of school Friday and they headed up in the morning after breakfast. First stop was a small lake on the way for a little attempt at fishing, the kids attention would only last a few minutes. The ducks were crazy and chased them out of there. Finally they made it to the camp site. It is high in the mountains so it is much cooler. It kind of reminded Trev of our old place in Spokane. It got down in the low 40's so they all bundled up. Dinner didn't turn out the way they were hoping so they headed into town for McDonald's.Picture of the boys pretending to be asleep. Mason should be an actor!! He.he. Trev cozied up in between them after they fell asleep. He rotated them every hour to help keep them warm.Mason fell down 30 seconds after they got there and cried on and off about needing band-aids the whole time. Even when they got home I walked in on Trev bathing the boys and Mase was in tears that his ouchy was hurting him and he needed a band aid. Very traumatizing!!Matt is the five year champion of horse shoes. And this is what the boys looked like after their adventure camping...
